Home Modification Occupational Therapist

Katie Holmes is an Occupational Therapist that has been working with the geriatric population for over 11 years in skilled rehabilitation facilities, home health, and assisted living settings. She focused on additional credentialing as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), and Executive Certificate in Home Modifications (ECHM). Katie is also a member of HMOTA (Home Modification Occupational Therapy Alliance) a group of professionals committed to providing home accessibility to clients throughout the country.

Katie has been living in Northern VA for the past 7 years and grew up in Maryland. She is in the process of modifying her own home and has first hand experience with the challenges that can result from living in an older home, as well as knowledge of how having a disability or aging can further impact that. She is committed to helping as many people as she can in Virginia and Maryland through virtual consultations.
